PROFILE |
Stephen Diamond Associates is a progressive design orientated landscape architecture consultancy based in Dublin. Since its inception in the summer of 2000 the practice has been involved in a diverse body of inventive work at various scales throughout Ireland.
Our approach to landscape architecture is site generated, with careful consideration given to the history, geology, ecology, microclimate and landscape of each site and its context. We place emphasis on creativity and rigorous conceptual development in our search for robust and timeless design proposals.
Our work is motivated by a fundamental aspiration to reconnect people with the external environment, be that through the design of a new streetscape, commercial or institutional landscape, public park, piazza, campus or garden. We approach each project with enthusiasm and optimism coupled with a conviction to reveal the optimal solution for each site and its users.
We pursue a particular interest in the analysis and integration of architectural and infrastructure projects within the site and wider landscape context. In our pursuit of appropriate design solutions, each project is viewed as a problem solving process of thorough research, analysis and conceptual development.
We strive to capture and interpret the unique characteristics and power of the natural, agricultural and urban landscape, often as abstracted contemporary compositions appropriate to the site, its architecture and infrastructure.
Emphasis is placed on ensuring high standards and to meet client requirements, budget and programme.
We welcome each opportunity to create functional, stimulating environments of reason and purpose. Our work is carefully considered, appropriate, cost effective and progressed with meticulous attention to detail. We produce concise contract documentation and specification material supported by thorough quality control on site.
